Read before purchasing reseller package:

When you purchase normal service you are given one control panel login to one of our servers, where you can log in and add domains, email accounts, etc. What you can’t do is give your customers a login to that control panel to manage domains, automate reselling our services with billing software like WHMCS, or hide the URL/logo of the control panel behind your own domain/branding (so customers don’t see MXroute).

With reseller service you are getting the same technical MXroute service (our  unique customizations and our extremely powerful outbound relays) but at one layer higher in the permission hierarchy. You actually get to create the control panel and the control panel accounts for your customers, giving them each unique logins to manage their own domains/email accounts. You can customize how the control panel looks (style, layout, logo), and hide the login behind your own domain (ex.

If you purchase service with the intent of delegating control of individual portions of the service to your customers, reseller service is what you want to be using. However, do note the following:

Reseller service does require that you configure things like packages (storage limits, etc) that you give to your customers, and you have to customize the control panel style yourself. It isn’t as “pretty” up front as the basic MXroute service because it’s a blank template for you to set up. You’ll also notice that you have access to a lot of web-hosting functions that we do not use for our service, because we do use DirectAdmin and we’re giving you raw access. Don’t worry too much about that though, we have tutorials to help:

FAQ: Can I change what server this is provisioned on?

No you cannot. The non-reseller “Cyber Monday” package will be provisioned in Netherlands, on a server named London. The reseller promo will be provisioned in Germany, on either Safari or Lucy. We’ve hand selected these networks for their incredible performance basically everywhere that isn’t Australia (Sorry friends, you need more cables).

FAQ: Can I change my control panel username?

You cannot. The usernames are tied to some of our back-end systems that cease to function properly with a rename, and we randomize the username creation to prevent users from picking the same usernames as each other, which prevents automatic account provisioning.

FAQ: Can I change my service to one of these promos?

While you are free to purchase a new promo and personally move your data to it (using imapsync or something like that), we do not perform any migrations for promotions, refunds for purchasing a promotion, or change of service to a promotion.
